When New York Jets star quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down with an Achilles injury during the team’s first game of the season, most thought it would be a season-ending injury for the future Hall of Famer. But he has refused to rule out a return this season, and it sounds like he now even has a target date for when he’d like to be back.
According to NFL analyst Ari Meirov, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported during a Sunday broadcast that Aaron Rodgers was targeting a Dec. 2 return to the practice field as he continues his shockingly fast recovery from the injury.
“#Jets QB Aaron Rodgers sent a video to the team this week of him working out, and it ‘blew their minds.’ He has told them he wants to start practicing as early as December 2nd, per @JayGlazer,” Meirov wrote in a post on X, the social media website formerly known as Twitter.

It’s obviously insane news given that most expected the injury to sideline him for the entire 2023 NFL season, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.
Win today so I can be excited about this. Thanks https://t.co/d69V2xIGyD

Aaron Rodgers sending workout videos to his teammates as motivation is objectively hilarious https://t.co/R7LStzlphj

If he comes back and reinjures himself (hopefully he doesn’t), he can only blame himself right? https://t.co/TF8wvbGFV5

We’ll have to see if Rodgers can indeed return to practice that soon and whether or not the team can continue to stay in playoff contention.
