Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams played several years together in Green Bay and during that time, Adams was not a troublemaker. He and Rodgers seem to have a solid friendship on and off the field.

But Rodgers seem to be taken aback when he found out that Adams was charged with assault after a video showed Adams pushing a member of the media.

Rodgers said when he found out what had happened he was surprised and reached out to Adams to lend his support.

“I was surprised,” Rodgers told reporters. “I was definitely surprised. I love Davante, reached out to him after the game. I hadn’t seem the clip yet but, yeah, I was surprised.”

Rodgers went on to say he was more surprised by Adams being charged. It appears that not only will Adams face charges, but he might also be sued in a civil lawsuit as well.

The NFL has yet to suspend Adams for the incident and may not until a full investigation is done. New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is facing similar charges after he assaulted someone in February while in Las Vegas for the Pro Bowl.

Kamara, however, still continues to play while the investigation continues but many feel that eventually, Kamara will be suspended from the league. Adams might be facing the same fate.
