The Indianapolis Colts made a pretty bold decision to select former Florida Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft despite very limited experience at the college level, but it sounds like he’s already impressing his teammates after just a few days in training camp.

During the team’s practice on Friday, Anthony Richardson took all the snaps with the first-team offense, and he impressed one Indianapolis Colts receiver with his absurd arm strength.

“He flicks his wrist, and the ball goes 60 yards.” Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs said according to the team’s official website.

But Richardson is impressing more than just his receivers, he’s also impressing the coaching staff with how well he’s developed and how he performed during Friday’s practice.

“I thought he did a really nice job (today),” Steichen said. “The thing we were looking for — obviously he was stacking the days in spring and then you get that time off in the summertime, we didn’t want him to take a step back. And I don’t think he has done that at all. He’s continuing to improve and grow and we gotta keep doing that.”

The Colts have made it very clear that they intend to play Richardson early and often, so we should see him on the field soon.
