It’s certainly been a rollercoaster of a career for Baker Mayfield since he was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns. But after spending time with the Browns, the Carolina Panthers, and the Los Angeles Rams, he is now playing the best football of his career. And he sounds quite pleased about it.

Baker Mayfield has put up strong numbers this season as he’s completed 64 percent of his passes for 3,598 yards with 26 touchdowns and eight interceptions, and it sounds like he’s feeling confident about his game.

“I feel good. Yeah, I feel really good about where I’m at, seeing the field,” Mayfield said. “Obviously, playing quarterback, each rep you can take things away from it. [You’re] continuing to learn and improve on it. So yeah, I think just being in the system for a bit now and getting comfortable with it, that’s what happens. Once you get comfortable in the system, you can truly grow and see the improvements and I think that’s where we’re at right now.”

Mayfield has the Buccaneers on the verge of an NFC South title and a trip to the postseason in his first season with the team as he replaced future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady. It sounds like he’s found a new team and is building a strong career for himself in Tampa Bay.
