Brittney Griner has been back in America since December after she was convicted on drug charges and a ridiculous nine-year prison sentence in a Russian penal colony where she faced quite harsh and very unfair conditions. Since her release, the WNBA star has received plenty of honors and accolades. That appears to have continued on Sunday when Griner was spotted at Super Bowl LVII in her home state of Arizona.

The NFL tweeted out a photo of Griner and her wife Cherelle rooting on her Philadelphia Eagles against the Kansas City Chiefs at the Super Bowl.

Griner appears to be wearing a Randall Cunningham jersey while Cherelle is wearing a Reggie White jersey.

Another fan shared a video of the Griners enjoying the game after an Eagles touchdown.

Griner was given the honor of Arizonan of the Year following her release – the same honor given to fallen war hero Pat Tillman back in 2004. Tillman was honored before Super Bowl LVII in a package that aired on Fox.

Griner should be enjoying herself so far as the Eagles lead the Chiefs 24-14 at halftime. However, there’s plenty of game left and if we know anything about Super Bowls its that a lot can change in a hurry.
