In case you forgot, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals are not very friendly. With the two AFC North rivals set to square off with each other in a division game this weekend, the hits should be jarring, leading Steelers running back DeAngelo Williams to be a two-chin-strap game.” That should bode well for a league looking to steer away from the heavy hits.

Remember what happened the last time these two rivals faced off? It was nuts. The two division foes meet for the first time since that bitter January contest.

“Everybody knows the professional hatred we have for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Bengals have with us,” Williams said, according to ESPN. “Everybody’s heard the Twitter fight and things of that nature that we’ve had in the offseason. Guess what? This Sunday, that comes to a head, and the cameras will be watching. It will be our will versus their will, and we will see who breaks first.”

What Williams said next harkened back to that old-school football mentality the NFL may be trying to get away from, but Williams did not care. He knows what’s going to happen Sunday between his Steelers and the Bengals. Smash. Mouth. Rough. Stuff.

“If you talk to all the old guys that played football, it was way worse than this right here,” Williams said. “That’s why people came to love football. You don’t love hockey for the scores — you love hockey for the fights, right? Granted, this is not hockey and that’s not what I’m promoting here, fighting on the field, but you like it when two people generally really don’t like each other. You know you’re going to get the very best from both teams. And that’s what you’ll get Sunday.”

Let’s see how many fines come out of this one.
