Over the past two seasons, the Detroit Lions have seen massive improvements, nearly making the NFL playoffs last season and on pace to make the postseason this year. While fans have undoubtedly been enjoying the team’s newfound success, they certainly aren’t enjoying the ticket prices that have happened as a result.

As Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reported on Tuesday, the Detroit Lions are raising season ticket prices for the 2024 season after back-to-back strong seasons for the team, and some of the price hikes are absolutely massive.

“The Lions sent out season ticket renewals for the 2024 season Monday and most seats saw a hefty increase in price,” Birkett wrote for the Detroit Free Press. “Tickets increased an average of 30%, a team spokesperson said, though multiple fans reported price increases as high as 85%.”

Obviously, this is a pretty horrible move from the team to raise season ticket prices this high after years of support from the fans, and people were not happy about it.

It’s certainly understandable that prices increased after the demand for season tickets went up, but it’s clear that people were not happy about such a drastic increase in season ticket prices.
