Amazon owner Jeff Bezos and rapper Jay Z, both billionaires, recently dined together to plot their takeover of the Washington Commanders.

TMZ broke story with photos.

Commanders owner Dan Snyder, who infamously pledged to publish “dirt” on fellow NFL owners if they came after him due to his many recent scandals, is putting the team on the block. Whether that’s selling a minority share or the franchise remains to be seen. The cost to purchase the Commanders is currently estimated at $8 billion.

TMZ reported the duo met at “Horses” along Sunset Strip in Los Angeles and dined together for two hours. The restaurant, usually closed Mondays, opened just to host the two powerbrokers.

Bezos “stayed tableside [sic] until about 9:30 [p.m.] … while Jay didn’t leave until midnight.”

Both men “kept things low-key as they entered the restaurant.” The outlet reported Lauren Sanchez, a media personality and Bezo’s girlfriend, accompanied the Amazon owner while business executive Corey Gamble attended alongside Jay Z. The celebrity gossip outlet was “unsure” why Bezos and Jay Z brought them to the meeting.

The group looking to purchase the Commanders also involved Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey. The NFL has yet to comment on the prospective purchase from the group.
