It would be safe to say that Nick Foles looked pretty terrible on Monday night. Head coach Jeff Saturday’s solution to that problem is to give America more Nick Foles.
The former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback looked dreadful in the dreadful Indianapolis Colts loss, completing 17 of 29 passes for only 143 yards, zero touchdowns, and three interceptions.

It was the kind of performance that would get most NFL quarterbacks benched. However, the alternative for head coach Jeff Saturday would be to put Matt Ryan or Sam Ehlinger back in, and that doesn’t sound much better.
So, the interim head coach is sticking with Foles. Because, well, he has no choice at this point.
“Nick’s the quarterback, and we’re moving forward with that,” said Saturday on Monday, according to Indy Star’s Joel A. Erickson.

The truth is that Saturday is damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t. None of the three Colts starters this season have performed well and are a big part of why the team is now 4-10-1.
Saturday’s tenure as interim coach has been controversial, to say the least. And while he did win his first game as head coach, it’s mostly been a series of miserable exercises in futility, regardless of who is taking snaps.
