The Cincinnati Bengals take on the Baltimore Ravens in a vitally important AFC North showdown on Thursday night. The Ravens have already won the first matchup of the season between the two teams, but Joe Burrow has reason to believe that this week’s game will look a little different.

During his press conference this week, Joe Burrow revealed that he was still recovering from his calf injury when the Bengals lost to the Ravens earlier this year and admitted that it limited the way he was able to play the game.

“I didn’t quite have my full toolbox in there,” Burrow said according to Geoff Hobson of the Cincinnati Bengals team website. “I thought we did some good things in the second half. The first half we didn’t have a ton of plays. They did a good job.”

The Ravens have arguably the best defense in the entire NFL, ranking first in scoring defense and No. 2 in total defense, but Burrow thinks the Bengals can still find success, especially based on their previous matchup.

“We found some explosives in the second half [of the first matchup],” Burrow said. “That’s what we have to try to do. They do a great job of limiting those explosive plays and you have to try to find them, because they’re going to do a really good job on offense keeping the ball, running it, and scoring points.

“We’re going to have to do the same.”

The Bengals are 5-4 on the season and need wins to keep pace in the hotly-contested AFC North divisional race.
