During Sunday night’s game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had to receive some medical attention on the sideline when his finger started bleeding heavily. But it doesn’t sound like that’s expected to be a long-term injury.

During his postgame press conference, Joe Burrow was asked about the finger injury, and he was quick to downplay it, even though it required medical attention during the game.

“Little cut, nothing bad,” Burrow said in his postgame press conference according to Pro Football Talk.

Of course, Burrow was bothered by a much more serious injury for much of the year after he injured his calf during the preseason and did not reach full health until recently. After the game, Burrow was asked on the broadcast what the biggest difference in his game is now that his calf is healthy.

“I can run,” Burrow said with a smile.

Since Burrow has been healthy, the Bengals have looked much better, winning four consecutive games after a 1-3 start. And Burrow knows they have to just keep performing well.

“We’re really happy with how we’ve played the last couple of weeks,” Burrow said. “We have to keep it going. We’re 1-0 this week. We have to be 1-0 next week, too. This week means nothing. We’ll come in tomorrow, watch the tape, lift, go about our business and we’ll go from there.”

It’s clear that the Bengals are back to their dominant selves after a slow start to the season.
