Joe Mixon is reportedly facing legal issues.
Mike Renner of Pro Football Focus reported Thursday that a warrant has been issued for the Cincinnati Bengals running back “on a count of Aggravated Menacing.”

Cassy Arsenault of NBC10 Bosotn tweeted a photo of the warrant, which states that Mixon allegedly pointed a gun at a woman and said ‘you should be popped in the face. I should shoot you now. The police can get me.'”

The incident allegedly happened Jan. 21 in Cincinnati, the day before the Bengals’ AFC Division Round victory over the Buffalo Bills.
The Bengals quickly released a statement (per Kimberley A. Martin, ESPN) on Mixon: “The club is aware misdemeanor charges have been raised against Joe Mixon. The club is investigating the situation and will not comment further at this time.”

Obviously, more details will be revealed about this case in time. Although only a misdemeanor charge, any situation involving a gun and a threat against another person will be taken very seriously by the NFL and a player’s team.
It’s worth noting that the summer before he joined the Oklahoma Sooners in 2014, Mixon punched a university student in an incident captured on video. The team suspended him for the entire season and he entered an Alford plea, maintaining his innocence but admitting he would likely be found guilty. He was sentenced to community service.
That incident likely caused Mixon to drop out of the first round in the 2017 NFL Draft. The Bengals selected him in the second round, No. 48 overall.
NFL fans quickly weighed in on the allegations against the star.
As if the Bengals had some sort of forewarning about his treatment of women…
