LeBron James TNF The Shop

The Green Bay Packers took on the Tennessee Titans on Thursday Night Football, where their struggles continued in a 27-17 loss. The broadcast for the game featured an interesting alternate cast featuring LeBron James’ show, “The Shop“.

Some comments he made regarding the Packers and Aaron Rodgers have gone viral for all the wrong reasons.

James and his crew discussed Green Bay’s struggles thus far this season, and criticized the Packers for their unwillingness to surround Rodgers with talent offensively.

“If you have a transcendent franchise player like Aaron Rodgers, why won’t you surround that when you got the picks to maximize what you do,” said James.

James then seemed to take a dig at the Los Angeles Lakers organization, saying that it “definitely translates” when asked if his comments applied to basketball as well.

There is a lot to break down in James’ comments, but fans are shocked that he seemed to point out the Lakers’ struggles so publicly.

Both LeBron and Rodgers have struggled mightily to form chemistry and production with their teammates.

On paper, it seems like the two players are in a similar spot in their respective careers. Both are aging superstars still playing at a borderline-elite level on the field despite a lack of team success.

The main difference between the two situations is that the Lakers have been in a far worse pickle in terms of draft picks compared to the Packers in recent years.

These comments from LeBron James likely will not help the Lakers chemistry work any smoother moving forward in a season that appears to be heading toward a complete disaster.
