The Las Vegas Raiders are looking for their next full-time coach this offseason after parting ways with previous head coach Josh McDaniels during the season. But it sounds like star pass rusher Maxx Crosby wants the team to retain interim head coach Antonio Pierce, and he could go as far as to request a trade from the team if that doesn’t happen.

On Saturday morning, league insiders Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport published a joint report on NFL.com indicating that if the Las Vegas Raiders do not retain interim head coach Antonio Pierce as the team’s full-time head coach, Maxx Crosby will explore a trade request.

“The Las Vegas Raiders also continue to weigh a potential pursuit of Harbaugh, who led his alma mater to its first national championship in the College Football Playoff era on Monday night. However, sources say there remains support among many in the extended Raiders family for interim coach Antonio Pierce — including in the locker room, with All-Pro edge rusher Maxx Crosby will explore a trade request if Pierce isn’t retained, according to sources,” Pelissero and Rapoport wrote for NFL.com.

This is obviously some pretty insane news, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.

We’ll certainly have to see what happens in this situation.
