The NFL is supposed to institute a random drug testing program for its players during the season, and one punter has a suspicion that the drug tests are anything but random.

As Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee got to the Colts facility on Monday he was greeted by a drug testing notification by the NFL. It just so happened to be on the heels of him booming a 65-yard punt against the Buffalo Bills in preseason action this weekend.

McAfee tweeted out a picture of his drug testing letter, with a bit of extra context added in for good measure.

Yes, that’s right — a punter is apparently the target of some not-so-random drug testing by the NFL.

Before you go all conspiracy theory isn’t true on me, let’s also look at some other evidence McAfee has in his bag.

There’s his tweeting about those who were likely smoking pot on 4/20 and a “random” drug test for that:

Oh, and how about the fact that the NFL apparently finds it odd that a punter can tackle hard too:

All of those “random” drug tests and somehow McAfee is clean…probably because he actually isn’t taking PEDs or recreational drugs. Just a thought NFL, just a thought.
