The Baltimore Ravens are preparing for a showdown with the AFC North division rival Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon, and even though history is on their side in this matchup, things are not looking too good for the team at the quarterback position. It was reported that star quarterback Lamar Jackson is facing “an uphill battle” to be ready for Sunday’s game, and things don’t too good at the quarterback position in general.

As Baltimore Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley pointed on on Twitter, Lamar Jackson was unable to practice once again on Wednesday and backup quarterback Tyler Huntley did not attempt a pass during the media viewing portion of practice.

“Ravens not-so-ideal QB situation heading into Sunday’s playoff game at Bengals: Lamar Jackson (knee) is missing his 16th straight practice on Wednesday. Tyler Huntley (tendinitis in right shoulder) did not throw a pass during media viewing of Wednesday’s practice,” Hensley said in a tweet.

Jackson was only expected to miss between one and three games after suffering a knee injury last month and was certainly expected to be ready for the playoffs. But head coach John Harbaugh has been pretty quiet on the subject, declining to talk about the health of his star quarterback on multiple occasions.

Huntley, meanwhile, missed Sunday’s game against the Bengals to close the season. With their top two quarterbacks out, the Ravens turned to third-string rookie quarterback Anthony Brown in last week’s loss.
