Just about everyone has been commenting on the retirement of Tom Brady. Now, Brady’s longtime teammate and friend Rob Gronkowski is speaking out about it as well.

Gronkowski posted to social media to acknowledge the legendary career and bond that he and Brady have had over the years.

This post is hilariously Gronk, starting with “Tommy Boy” and using words like “super-duper.” But it clearly speaks to how much Brady means to Gronkowski.

Brady’s retirement opens up a lot of questions about Gronkowski’s future. He has not addressed the rumors of following Brady into retirement, but he has previously said that Brady is his quarterback and that he doesn’t want to play for anyone else.

Here are some reactions, with many speculating on the future for the sure-fire Hall of Fame tight end.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers general manager Jason Light said last week that he did not expect Brady’s retirement to impact Gronkowski’s decision, but given their relationship, it’s hard to know how that could be true.

It will certainly be interesting to monitor going forward. Gronkowski said after the end of the Buccaneers season following a playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams that he would make a decision on his future in “a couple of weeks” while he steps away from football for a little bit to clear his mind for a decision.
