The Chicago Bears have a huge decision on their hands entering the offseason at the quarterback position. Will they select a quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft? Or potentially stick with third-year quarterback Justin Fields?

Well, recent betting odds on Fields’ destination for the 2024-25 season seem to indicate that he will indeed have a new home.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Pittsburgh Steelers are even-money to land Fields, sitting at +100 on the sportsbook to play for the team next year. The Chicago Bears are closely behind Pittsburgh in the betting odds at +150. Several other teams potentially in the mix based on the odds are the Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, and the Las Vegas Raiders.

This correlates with a recent report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter that stated that Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is a “big fan” of Fields, and that the team will be bringing in someone else at the quarterback position even if it isn’t Fields.

It’s an interesting fit on paper. The Steelers of course made it to the postseason this year despite some relatively shaky quarterback play from the likes of Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph.

Fields has been a player who has had some great flashes throughout his career at times, but has also had some incredibly low spots where he hasn’t looked like a franchise quarterback at all.

If Mike Tomlin can bring out the best in Fields, it sure seems like a gamble that could be worthwhile as long as the Bears’ asking price isn’t too high.
