There’s not much doubt that Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will go down as the best and most accomplished quarterback in NFL history when he decides to retire for good. He’ll have plenty of accolades and records to his name. But despite all the good records, Brady is also on the verge of reaching one milestone he’d rather not reach.

During the latest episode of his Let’s Go! podcast, Tom Brady was informed by cohost Jim Gray that if he takes just two more sacks, he’ll have the NFL record for most times sacked in an NFL career. He had a hilariously candid response to the news.

“I’d like to actually thank my complete lack of agility and speed for allowing me to knock on the door of this very esteemed NFL record. So, I have some other cool ones. This one I’m probably not as excited about,” Brady said, according to the New York Post. “Like we always say, oh, you know, some things get better with age. I think the feeling you get when you’re sacked is not one of those.

This is one record Brady hopes does not stand for too long.

“After as many times as I’ve been sacked at my age, I’d prefer to, let’s just pass this record pretty quickly and hope I don’t add too many more to that growing list over the second part of this season. Some would say, Jim, that I’m just trying to diversify the portfolio, so we’ll leave it at that.”

So far this season, Brady has been sacked 10 times, which is actually nowhere near the most in the NFL as Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields has been sacked 27 times.
