Miami Dolphins fans are *quite* happy about the team selecting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with the fifth overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

According to ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe, the Alabama product has the NFL’s two highest-selling jerseys since the 2020 NFL Draft. Yes, Tagovailoa has not just the top-selling jersey, but the top two highest-selling jerseys.

Tagovailoa’s aqua Dolphins men’s jersey is the No. 1 seller over the past two weeks on NFLShop.com, and his white jersey is coming in at No. 2 as of Monday afternoon. Tagovailoa was arguably the NFL draft’s most compelling story, and he has created an enormous amount of buzz in South Florida and national markets. He decided this past Tuesday to wear the No. 1, becoming the first Dolphins quarterback to don the number.

There have been tons of questions about Tagovailoa’s health, following a dislocated hip and two ankle surgeries at Alabama. But the Dolphins are clearly believers in Tagovailoa’s health going forward, and the jersey sales would suggest that the fans are too.

It’s particularly eye-opening when you consider that Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski recently joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Joe Burrow was the No. 1 overall draft pick by the Cincinnati Bengals after winning the Heisman Trophy and National Championship last season at LSU.

Brady was No. 1 in jersey sales shortly after signing with the Bucs, but drops to third, fourth, fifth, and sixth (still, four of the top six spots!) following the draft, while Gronkowski comes in at seventh (after joining the Bucs a few weeks ago). Burrow has Bengals jerseys ranking eighth, 11th, and 15th on the sales. Los Angeles Chargers rookie quarterback Justin Herbert ranks 12th.
