Simone Biles proved once again why she may be the greatest gymnast of all time. After stepping away from the Tokyo Olympics two years ago to work on her mental health, the gymnastics champion made a triumphant return Sunday winning the US Championship.

Biles became the oldest gymnast to win the championship at 26. She posted an all-around total score of 118.40 over the weekend event, four points ahead of runner-up Shilese Jones and seven above third-place finisher Leanne Wong.

Many think that Biles may be gearing up for the Olympics in Paris next year, but so far, she is keeping her future plans to herself.

“I like to keep (my goals) personal just so that I know what I am aiming for,” she said at the competition. “I’m trying to move a little bit differently this year than I have in the past. So I think it’s working so far, so I’m gonna keep it a little bit secretive.”

Biles seems to be in a much better place in her life than she was a few years ago. She has gotten married recently and has gotten a handle on her mental health.

Fans were excited to see her back in action Sunday.

As Magic Johnson mentioned, Biles is the only gymnast, male or female to win eight US championships.
