The professional wrestling world was shocked earlier in the week when WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler suffered a stroke and was rushed to a Florida hospital for emergency surgery.

At the time it was reported that Lawler suffered “a blood blockage” on the right side of his brain, that he was unable to speak, and that he “has no feeling on the right side of his body.”

However, the wrestling world got some good news on Wednesday as the Jerry Lawler Twitter account shared some encouraging news and photos of Lawler resting comfortably in the hospital.

“After suffering a massive stroke Monday. He is now recovering in a Fort Myers, FL hospital. His speech is limited, but with rehabilitation will regain a full recovery. He thanks everyone for the continued prayers and will be back in the near future,” said the tweet.

The tweet included four photos of Lawler, who was being visited by Jimmy Hart, a fellow famous pro wrestling performer and friend.

Lawler is a living legend in the professional wrestling world. While he is best known for his time with the WWF/WWE, mostly as an announcer, he had a long and storied wrestling career before that. Lawler won many championships. The legendary Memphis wrestler has had a few health setbacks over the years, suffering a heart attack on-air during a 2012 episode of Raw as well as a previous stroke in 2018.
