Kyle Larson sat on the pole for NASCAR’s dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway. As one of the top dirt racers in the country, Larson was one of the favorites to win. After having a great first half of the race, Larson’s fate changed drastically as Stage 3 started.

Just after the restart, Larson shockingly spun on his own coming off Turn 4. Many people spun during the ace, but people weren’t expecting Larson to be one of those drivers. In fact, it got a bit of a reaction from Kyle Busch, who was behind Larson. After seeing Larson spin, Busch told his crew chief, “Well, you don’t see that every day.”

As Larson was trying to get through the hornet’s nest of midpack, he and Ryan Preece got into it down the backstretch. This may have stemmed from an earlier incident where Larson put Preece in the wall. Preece was able to continue, but he wasn’t pleased and flipped off Larson under caution.

Preece may have gotten his payback on Larson as Preece put Larson in the wall, and Larson spun as the two kept hitting each other.

Larson felt as if it was payback from the earlier incident. It’s how others viewed it as well.

Fellow dirt racing ace Christopher Bell picked up the win over Tyler Reddick.
