Ghana

Ghana might be the lowest ranked team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup (61) but they sure don’t play like that. After a hard fought 3-2 defeat at the hands of Portugal where they came very close to equalizing, Ghana continued the goalscoring by scoring two huge goals against South Korea.

The first was off a set piece where the ball pinged off multiple players in the box. In the end, Mohammed Salisu got on the end to shoot the ball in the back of the net and a VAR check for a potential handball confirmed the goal.

Ghana’s second goal came 10 minutes later with a long pass from Jordan Ayew that connected with the head of Mohammed Kudus, who headed the ball in from about six yards out.

It was almost a third for Ghana in the final seconds of the first half as Thomas Partey headed the ball just over the bar.

Up by two, Ghana is cruising and some are hoping for more of the same in the second half.
