The Tennessee Titans were hosting a movie night Saturday night at Nissan Stadium, and while everybody was there for a movie, they got something much more.

During the showing of “Minions”, the sprinklers on the field turned on, soaking a pretty good portion of the crowd that was on hand. The panic set in much deeper for some compared to others.

The team apologized for the incident, and were not sure why it happened, as some of the sprinklers on the field turned on, but not all. This allowed for some fans to run to dry areas before being soaked with the long-ranging sprinklers.

They released the following apology in a statement to the Tennesseean:

“Some sprinklers went off for about 30-45 seconds in one quadrant of the field, which was unfortunate and unexpected since we had changed the timers for the sprinklers. We had a good turnout of our season ticket members and their families and realize it didn’t make for a great night for those who got wet, and for that we apologize.”

I guess the Titans really just want to make sure that the field is healthy for all of the players that they are getting ready to draft this season.
