Roethlisberger wants more rings than Bradshaw, Montana

The Pittsburgh Steelers currently hold the most Vince Lombardi trophies in the NFL, with 6, but that's not stopping quarterback Ben Roethlisberger from wanting more. If he gets his way, the Steelers will have at least 9 trophies by the time he calls it quits.

"I want to pass Terry Bradshaw by getting more Super Bowl wins. That’s our expectations in Pittsburgh," Roethlisberger said at an event to promote American football overseas, via Steelers PR.

It's no secret that there's been bad blood between Ben Roethlisberger and Terry Bradshaw in the past. Still, don't get the wrong impression; this was a show of confidence, not a pot shot at Bradshaw. By passing Bradshaw in Super Bowl victories, Roethlisberger would also pass Joe Montana, becoming the soul holder of the record.

"There is no other franchise I would rather play for than the Pittsburgh Steelers," Roethlisberger went on to say.

The Steelers are one of the most stable teams in the NFL. They haven't fired a head coach since before the Chuck Noll, era in 1968 when Bill Austin was relieved of his duties. If Roethlisberger wants to stay in Pittsburgh for his entire career, the door will almost certainly be open for him to do so, and considering their penchant for finding great supporting players, Roethlisberger has as good a chance as anyone to match or break the record of four Super Bowl victories.
