Northwestern likely locks up first-ever NCAA Tournament berth with a game-winning layup off a full-court pass

It’s hard to believe, but Northwester has never made the NCAA Tournament. But the Wildcats likely — finally  secured an NCAA Tournament berth with their win over Michigan on Wednesday night. And they got the win in absolutely incredible fashion:

Insane NASCAR trucks crash in Daytona looks straight out of a movie

So, the final lap of the NASCAR trucks race at Daytona last Friday night was bonkers.

Heading into the final lap, it appeared Matt Crafton would win, but instead he found himself flipping around in a very scary scene (but he’s thankfully fine). 18-year-old Kaz Grala ended up being the winner, and in doing so, became the youngest NASCAR truck series driver to win at Daytona.

But the main story coming out of the race was much more about this ridiculous crash:

There was quite a big Senior Night surprise on Tuesday at Rupp Arena, as Wildcats senior Derek Willis proposed to his girlfriend:

And last night at State Farm Center, Illinois star senior Malcolm Hill broke down in an interview after the Illini’s 73-70 win over Michigan State:

And of course, the unbelievable Oscars Best Picture gaffe

It’s still just stunning to me that this actually happened (but it was totally worth it for the Twitter reactions, at least).
