Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross and Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder have been in the news for all the wrong reasons as of late.

The news coming in the past few days seems to indicate that there is a real possibility that one or both of these owners could be on their way to lose their ownership status going forward.

Ross came under fire with his involvement in Brian Flores’ lawsuit, where Flores alleged that Ross offered him $100,000 per loss during the 2019 season.

Sources told NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport that the league will be conducting a full-on investigation into these allegations.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Sunday that “if these were the violations, they won’t be tolerated.” He also added that the disciplinary actions for these allegations being true could be as severe as losing the team, which would come from a vote from fellow owners.

Meanwhile, Snyder (seen above in 2019) has been in hot water with the Commanders dating back to last July when the NFL concluded their own investigation into claims of sexual harassment and workplace misconduct and fined the franchise. The league has announced recently that they will conduct a new investigation.

According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, other NFL owners sense that the time has come for Snyder to be removed as the Commanders owner.

Should these investigations end up proving that one or both of these owners are guilty of what they are accused of, there is a real possibility that they could be removed from their ownership position.

Snyder seems like the owner out of the two who is most likely to be removed, but if the investigation on Ross can prove some concrete evidence that he tried to pay coaches for losing, he may be gone as well.
