The Denver Broncos shocked the NFL world on Tuesday when they decided to trade for longtime Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson in a blockbuster deal.
Many Broncos fans were certainly let down when Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers announced that he will be staying in Green Bay, but the acquisition of Wilson is one heck of a Plan B for Denver.
This trade leaves a ton of questions around the Seahawks going forward. They received quarterback Drew Lock in return from the Broncos in the trade, but there are reports that they could be interested in another quarterback going forward.
Reports have come out Wednesday morning that the Seahawks are interested in trading for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, and are expected to explore potential trade scenarios.
Watson has not played in an NFL game since the 2020 season due to ongoing civil and criminal charges of sexual assault and coercive and lewd sexual behavior.

These reports certainly have gotten Seahawks fans talking and many are interested in what Watson could provide on the field for the Seahawks next season.
Seattle just loaded up with draft capital in Wilson trade to help make this trade happen https://t.co/9gbnb8bRAI

Not surprising that the one upgrade potentially available is a route Seattle will be looking at given Pete’s age https://t.co/yi3lQCOsOh

However, there is a large portion of Seahawks fans that are questioning the morality of the situation given the very serious legal allegations that are currently against the former Pro Bowl quarterback.
…seahawks really out here trying to force me to find a new NFL team to root for https://t.co/qJeJvI1Qhe

I would forever be done with this franchise if we go from a class act like Russ to a guy who has been accused of sexual assault by 23 different women. https://t.co/A5sc3eUivv

So now the Seahawks are going to give up all the draft capital it just obtained, to get a guy under investigation for sexual misconduct, after trading the guy who visited a children's hospital almost every week for 10 years. https://t.co/AjTSnrZgsM

There is certainly no questioning the talent of Watson on the football field, but it remains to be seen if any team would want to bring on the PR nightmare that could come along with a move for him. Even if he is somehow cleared of his charges, questions may always surround Watson’s character going forward if he does head to another organization.
