The college football world wants to know where Arch Manning will play in two years. For now, they’ll have to settle for which schools the No. 1 2023 quarterback prospect is going to visit in the meantime.

The nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning has long been rumored to be choosing between a selection of SEC schools as well as the Texas Longhorns. In fact, multiple recruiting experts have pegged the Longhorns as the current favorite to land Arch over the Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, and others. However, there’s a long way to go and the recruiting world is full of stories where commitments switched on a dime.

It has been said that Manning’s top three is presumed to be Texas, Alabama, and Georgia. And according to 24/7 Sports’ Steve Wiltfong, Manning has locked in return visits to Texas and Georgia in the coming weeks.

Manning is set to visit Georgia this weekend and Texas on March 24, per 247Sports. Arch previously visited both schools last summer as well as for games during the season.

“He’s excited to watch practice, he’s excited to watch meetings,” Isidore Newman head coach Nelson Stewart told Wiltfong. “Really get a chance now that the pandemic has really passed to get in the weeds and watch how they coach and watch what they do and get a feel for the staff and organization of it. He’s most excited to watch practice. That’s what it’s about. That’s what he enjoys most about the game. He’s a meat and potatoes kid, it’s a work visit as much as anything and he wants to get into the quarterback room and see how it works.”

Arch is said to want to make all of the necessary visits to the schools he’s considering before spring practice is over so that he can make a decision by this summer. He’ll return to play for one more season at Isidore Newman where he’s already racked up 6.307 yards and 81 passing touchdowns as a quarterback.

Along with Texas, Alabama, and Georgia, others schools said to be in the mix for Manning include LSU, Ole Miss, and Florida. And hey, never underestimate Lane Kiffin when it comes to recruiting.
