Isaiah Thomas is playing with a heavy heart today.
After his sister was killed in a car accident on Saturday, Thomas started Game 1 of the NBA playoffs with his sister on his mind. Even being in tears before the game, Thomas is wearing a special pair of shoes today that say “RIP Lil Sis.”

No one would blame Thomas if he didn’t play Game 1 but he’s out there on the floor. He was able to compartmentalize something so emotional and tragic to play basketball.
TD Garden erupted at the start of the game as Thomas put together some incredible moves. After passing through his legs to Avery Bradley, Bradley attempted but failed to pass the ball back. Thomas reacted right away, got to the ball and seemed to casually drain a three.
