The Sacramento Kings earned their first victory of the season Saturday night at home when they defeated the Miami Heat, 1119-113.

The Kings’ win was yet another loss for the Los Angeles Lakers, who matched the worst start in franchise history on Friday night by falling to 0-5.

The Lakers are now the only team left in the NBA without a win this season. After the struggles of guard Russell Westbrook and the frustrations of forward LeBron James, the NBA world was quick to note the latest dubious distinction of their campaign.

“With the Kings win tonight … This marks the first time ever a LeBron James team has the outright worst record in the NBA at any point in a season,” SportsCenter tweeted.

“The only team in the NBA without a loss is the Milwaukee Bucks. The only team in the NBA without a win is the Los Angeles Lakers,” wrote Law Murray.

“It’s the 2nd time in franchise history that the Lakers have been the last remaining winless team. The other time was in 1957-58, when there were 8 teams in the league,” ESPN Stats & Info noted.

“The Lakers are the only winless team in the NBA,” Overtime tweeted with video.

The Lakers get their next chance at their first win of the season Sunday night when they host the Denver Nuggets.
