Odell Beckham Jr. hasn’t played in the NFL since suffering an ACL injury during the Los Angels Rams‘ Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals last year. But as he recovers from his injury, he remains one of the most coveted free-agent receivers in the league, and one team has reportedly emerged as the favorite to land him.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Beckham is most likely to sign with his most recent team, the Los Angeles Rams.
“Most execs I’ve spoken to believe the Rams are the favorite and make the most sense,” Fowler wrote on Tuesday. “The team has maintained a good relationship with Beckham and has intimate knowledge of his injury file. His star power plays in Los Angeles, and he developed a quick on-field rapport with Stafford.”
Fowler also shared a quote from an NFC personnel director who suggested that Beckham’s familiarity with the team makes it most likely that the former All-Pro ends up back in Los Angeles.
“It makes the most sense — if you’re coming off an injury, why start over with a new offense?” an NFC personnel director told Fowler.
It’s certainly a huge update for the star receiver, and the NFL world was quick to react.

OBJ's love of Bill Belichick has the Patriots on this list as a bit of a dark horse to land the free agent receiver, who says he's due to return in November https://t.co/RH9hjXOvqH

Though the Rams might be the most likely to sign Beckham, that hasn’t kept other teams from pursuing the star receiver. Beckham reportedly visited the New York Giants last week, and the team hasn’t denied interest in bringing back their former first-round draft pick.
One way or another, it’s becoming clear Beckham is going to play somewhere this year. It’s just a matter of where.
