It’s the preseason for everyone, including the refs in the NFL. Beyond just getting adjusted to the new rules changes, points of emphasis and calling ticky-tack stuff that will make everyone cringe in just a few short weeks, apparently even some officials forgot that the Rams moved this offseason.

Thanks Tony Corrente! While for some of us, we’ll say the St. Louis Rams out of a force of habit, officials usually can’t be the ones to do that, especially at the LA Coliseum.

And LA fans, who are not usually pre-disposed to booing, booed vociferously, as is their right. Most may still harbor some lingering bitterness from 20 years ago, even though the team is back now.

This will happen less and less as time goes on, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t hilarious when it happens to begin with.
