Mets fans nervous about latest Jacob deGrom news
Hopefully this isn't a serious shoulder injury.
Hopefully this isn't a serious shoulder injury.
*Metsing intensifies*
deGrom has been the best pitcher in baseball this season. Heck, he's been pitching than anybody ever has.
Injuries always suck, but especially when they happen to athletes doing what deGrom is this season.
What he's doing right now is absolutely insane.
Needless to say, the St. Lucie Mets won.
deGrom threw a nine-inning shutout with two hits allowed and 15 strikeouts Friday against Washington.
Additionally, Van Wagenen was "bemoaning the fact Jacob deGrom’s strong performance had been wasted."
Kris Bryant and Ronald Acuña Jr. are among the best values in the opening NL MVP odds.
"It is analytical hijacking. These people have hijacked baseball, they want to impose their will and tell you what's important. I don't share most of, maybe none of, their values, and it's absurd."
Mike Trout has sapped all drama from the AL MVP race, but every other awards race in baseball remains up for grabs.
The Mets are letting down deGrom in ways not seen since the Grover Cleveland administration.
2015 feels like a long time ago.
deGrom has already undergone both Tommy John and a procedure to repair nerve damage in his pitching elbow.
