One of the most interesting parts of last football season was the weekly edition of Monday Night Football’s alternate stream dubbed the ManningCast, which featured legendary quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Eli Manning on ESPN2 providing entertaining commentary far different than the typical ESPN broadcast.

Many were excited to find out exactly which games they would be covering for the upcoming 2022-23 season, and that was revealed on Thursday.

ESPN posted a “press release” similar to that of Michael Jordan’s famous press release announcing his return to basketball in 1995, revealing that ManningCast will be returning for Week 1 of the NFL season when the Denver Broncos take on the Seattle Seahawks for the first Monday night game of the year.

On top of that, the full ManningCast schedule has been revealed on Tuesday, with the Mannings taking part in Monday night games during Weeks 1, 3-4, 7-9, 13-15, as well as the Monday night game of Wild Card Weekend.

Many around the NFL world are extremely pleased following this news that they will get to see the ManningCast for the upcoming season.

The matchup in Week 1 will be particularly interesting considering Peyton Manning’s relationship with the Broncos as of late.

It was rumored this offseason that the former Broncos quarterback could be involved with the Broncos’ new ownership group as an advisor, as well as appearing at Denver’s training camp earlier this offseason to greet Russell Wilson.

His experience at Broncos camp could certainly provide some great insight from Peyton while on commentary for the first Monday Night Football game this season. That, paired with Wilson’s return to Seattle, should make the first 2022 edition of the ManningCast an extremely entertaining one.
