This ends the 12-day streak of not having a player test positive, with at least 2 games postponed between the #Padres–#SFGiants

So, this isn’t good. The Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals had to postpone many games due to positive COVID-19 tests, and it led to a scheduling mess featuring plenty of doubleheaders. With the regular season set to conclude in just over two weeks, it would really create a difficult situation for MLB if many more games have to be postponed.
And these games are important for both the Giants and Padres. The Giants are currently the final team (the No. 8 seed) in the National League side of the playoff format, with a 23-22 record. The Padres are 29-17 (second-best record in the NL) and currently have the NL’s No. 4 seed (second in the NL West).
