Dick Vitale is weighing in on some of the biggest stories in the sports world. On Monday, he expressed hope that Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen would reconcile. On Thursday night, he weighed in on the ongoing Kyrie Irving controversy.
Vitale started strong, saying that the NBA “is bigger than any player-ENOUGH ALREADY with Kyrie Irving.” He also said that he “feels bad” for Kevin Durant. Before moving to Durant, though, Vitale tagged Kevin Nash, saying that “he had no chance dealing with the antics of Irving & [Ben] Simmons.”

Vitale later deleted that tweet. Given that, and that his two subsequent tweets both expressed sympathy for Steve Nash, we can only assume that Vitale meant to tag Brooklyn’s now former head coach — rather than the four-time WCW World Champion who co-founded the New World Order with Scott Hall and Hulk Hogan in 1996.
Several people had fun with the miscue.

If only Scott Hall was still alive to police that locker room.

The NWO was a piece of cake to manage compared to the Nets https://t.co/EJWNt58QC5

And to be completely fair to Vitale, he was not wrong. Kevin Nash did have no chance in dealing with the antics of Irving and Simmons. In fact, as bad as it was for Steve Nash, we can only guess that Kevin had less of a chance.
And, certainly, something is going wrong in Brooklyn’s locker room. Between all of the controversy around Irving, Nash getting fired and the team’s slow start on the floor, things have got to get better in Brooklyn and fast. Things can get better with the Nets as soon as that bitterness goes away, as long as they long get too sweet.
