It’s safe to say that the Matt Ryan era in Indianapolis has been a disaster. While all signs point to this being the one and only year that Ryan will be with the Colts, there are still a few more games to be played and it sounds like he will remain the starter for the time being.

According to radio host Kevin Bowen, Colts interim offensive coordinator Parks Frazier said that “he is game-planning as if Matt Ryan will be the starting quarterback against the Chargers.”

The Colts (4-9-1) host the Los Angeles Chargers (8-6) on Monday night, so there’s definitely still time for them to consider a chance at quarterback, but it certainly sounds like they’re just going to ride things out with Ryan in spite of the way things have fallen apart this year.

The Colts are coming off an epic collapse that reminded a lot of people of another epic collapse that Ryan was involved with. But Ryan has been teetering on the edge of losing his job for weeks now since he got it back. And while the Colts have definitely been in rough shape as a team, Ryan’s play has been at the forefront of those issues.

Still, it doesn’t appear that the Colts have any better options at the moment and it probably wouldn’t matter that much anyway.
