The Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys have one of the most intense rivalries in sports. Star offensive lineman Jason Peters has experienced this rivalry on the Philadelphia side for years, but he will now be taking on the Eagles as a member of the Cowboys on Sunday.

Ahead of the matchup, Peters did not mince words about how he truly felt about the fan base of his former team, ripping Eagles fans for how they approach games against the Cowboys.

“I just know Philly fans are f***ing idiots when it comes to the camaraderie and the Cowboys,” said Peters via The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “Any team really… They know that. They pride themselves on being nasty. Philly fans are the wildest fans out there.”

Peters spent 11 seasons with the Eagles organization, so he certainly knows firsthand just how intense they can be when it comes to their football team.

Eagles fans infamously showed off their passion and recklessness during the team’s Super Bowl run in the 2018 postseason, pulling down light posts and traffic lights in Philadelphia while celebrating the team’s success.

While he certainly has a point, it is still shocking to see Peters blast Philadelphia fans considering how much they once adored him.

When it was announced that he would be signing with the Cowboys, many fans were outraged and voiced their disappointment on social media.

He spent the best years of his career with the Eagles, but it seems like Peters isn’t all that fond of Philly fans now that he is on the other side of the Eagles-Cowboys rivalry this time around.
